DIRECTIONS IN PRAYER: Declaring

If you can flow with the Holy Ghost in prayer, you can flow with the Holy Ghost in a service, in any natural area of your life, in anything that the Lord has told you to do.  It is really the most wonderful training.  This is why the devil gets people not to pray;  because if you can flow corporately in a prayer group you can flow with anyone on the earth and the Spirit of God anytime He needs you.

The voice of God will be so quickened to you, you’ll learn how He deals with you.  You’ll learn what not to do.  You’ll learn everything about him.  Its how you know God.  Its not that you’re always giving out something in prayer, it’s a total relationship with God.

There are not basic formulas for prayer.  But the basic thing about corporate prayer is that you are going to pray from your heart, what is in your heart.  If you can do that you can always follow the unction of the Spirit.  You’re not going to pray from your flesh or your mind.  We are not doing this to lay hands on people and prophecy. You understand that? You don’t come to a pray in a prayer group for those things.  You don’t come to pray out of your mind things that happened at home.  What you are coming for is to flow in a group, with a group, to pray in your heart.

The Holy Ghost will take many directions in prayer.  I’m going to go over some of those.

Sometimes the Holy Ghost will take the direction of Declaring, that is not where you are actually praying a prayer up to God.  Have you ever just declared some things while you were praying?  That is a form of prayer, its not actually saying, “Dear Father, so-and-so needs so-and-so.”

The Holy Ghost has another function in the earth besides you just making a request.  Sometimes He will declare things in realms of the earth and realms of God and in the Spirit to set things in order. Nevertheless, declaring is still a form of prayer.  Brother Phillip Halverson called it commanding.  Sometimes the Holy Ghost needs to speak into a realm.  If you are speaking by the power of the Spirit then your speaking is going to affect the realm that you are speaking in.  Sometimes it’s a natural realm; sometimes it’s a realm in the Spirit that you need to be speaking to.

It says in the first book of Jeremiah, that the Lord was talking to him about building up, tearing down, planting, and rooting up.  Do you remember that? Some of you would say, “What do we tear down?”

Most of the times it's not strongholds, but you have to go in to bust up things that men have done that’s wrong to get the right thing started.  That’s what he means by tearing down.  It’s just for the good of all.  Sometimes you’ll have the wrong man in the wrong place, and he needs to be moved.  And sometimes that’s not pleasant on people’s flesh.  Nevertheless, it will happen if you get it in prayer first.  And it's always so easy you can just march right through it. Because prayer has preceded and prayer makes a way.

Prayer will always make a way where there seems to be no way.  If we tell this person they are in the wrong place are they going to leave the church?  No, not if it's prayed up ahead.  Not if the Holy Ghost can get  in there and get them thinking the right thoughts about it.  Do you see what I’m saying?  It helps to keep the devil off people’s backs.

And so he wants you to build, plant, teardown, and root up.  Those are all some of the things you will be doing when you are declaring in prayer.  You can speak anything.  Have you ever done it and you were just speaking and when you had finished you thought, “that didn’t do anything.”  The Holy Ghost will always witness to you in your heart. He knows if something is doing something or not.  Isn’t that right?  And you think “that wasn’t it.”  If you were thinking that wasn’t it, then that wasn’t it, and that wasn’t right and its not going to work. You go back to where you knew you had it and take it from there.
